Why did you create this sorority?

I created this sorority to provide a space where Black women can be their authentic selves, a place that nurtures personal growth, improves mindset, and empowers us to become better women. Here, it's okay to not always be okay, as we have sisters who uplift and support each other through life's challenges.

Why did you create this sorority?

When I was asked to create SIN with my sister I definitely hesitated at first. This was not my first rodeo when it came to Greek life. My previous experiences were not the best and lets face it being vulnerable with new people is scary, especially on this platform. However, after much consideration and brainstorming, I decide to create SIN for people like me who want a to be apart of something that is of substance, that is cherished and that is protected. I want to surround myself with women who are always reaching past the limit and encouraging others to do the same.

Why did you join this sorority?

I chose to join my sisters in founding SIN due to their being a lack in REAL sisterhood. There was not a place where we could be our authentic selves freely, and to be able to share/exchange ideas in a safe environment.

What legacy do you plan to establish in SIN?

I hope to leave my mark on our sorority. I want for us to be known for making a lane when there wasn’t one. I want us to be knowin for giving our girls a space and place where their authenticity and their ideas mattered. I want for us to be known for our philanthropy and our passion. I want us to be known for our talents.

Why did you join this sorority?

The shroud of secrecy and divinity these women projected not only peaked my interest but the standards they upheld pushed me to pick this organization.

How has being in this sorority helped you grow personally/professionally?

Being in SIN has allowed me to be patient in my personal life and bold in my professional one. It has allowed me to realize that marching to the beat of my own drum doesn’t mean I am not apart of the band, but that I compliment my sisters to create a beautiful sound. Being different is ok as a person and even when conducting business.

How would you describe your profession/ skills you apply in Second Life?

I am the owner of The Rookie Uncut which is my Interior Design and Landscaping firm. I do residential, commercial or event designs for any occasion. Daycations is my virtual destinations firm. Currently, my first destination under this brand is underway called LUME. Both are things I love doing and will be pursuing for years to come.

Why did you join this sorority?

I chose this sorority because of its strong sense of community and commitment to values that resonate with me. From the very first interaction, I felt welcomed and appreciated for who I am. I was drawn to the emphasis on sisterhood, personal growth, and service, which aligns with my own goals. The positive impact the sorority had on its members and the broader community really inspired me. I wanted to be part of a group that not only supports each other but also strives to make a difference in the world. Ultimately, it felt like a place where I could truly belong and grow.

How has being in this sorority helped you grow personally/professionally?

Being in this sorority has been a transformative experience for me. Personally, it has helped me build confidence and develop strong leadership skills. The supportive environment encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone, whether it was through organizing events or taking on leadership roles. Professionally, I've gained valuable networking opportunities and learned essential skills like teamwork and communication. The friendships and mentorship I've found here have provided guidance and inspiration, helping me navigate my career paths more effectively. Overall, the sorority has played a crucial role in shaping who I am today.

I embody the sorority’s values by striving to live with integrity, compassion, and a commitment to service every day. I make a conscious effort to support my sisters, whether it's by offering a listening ear or helping with a project. I also prioritize giving back to the community, whether through volunteering or participating in charitable events, as I believe in the importance of making a positive impact. Additionally, I try to foster inclusivity and kindness in my interactions, ensuring everyone feels valued and respected. By aligning my actions with these values, I hope to inspire others to do the same.

Ultimately, I’d love for future members to feel that they can be their true selves and that they have a strong community backing them every step of the way.
